Chanee

Chanee Choi holds a Ph.D. in 3D Animation, Data-Driven Art, and Games from the University of Washington's Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) program. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico, Department of Film & Digital Arts and has previously taught at the University of Washington and Syracuse University. Chanee is a transdisciplinary artist, known for her ritualistic craft-based art practice that transcends the conservative and isolationist roots of traditional East Asian craftwork. Her work focuses on celebrating feminist theory and modern technology. Chanee’s advising specialisms include: 

• Multidisciplinary video and new media education (including animation, video, and video game simulation)
